“Towns of Martial Glory” series

In the catalogue: commemorative coins — 45.

Steel 10-rouble circulation coins with the cities awarded the honorary title City of Military Glory, showing each city’s coat of arms on the reverse. Forty-five coins came out in 2011–2016, as many as the cities that had received the title by then.

The title was established in 2006 and is given to cities on whose territory or near whose walls the defenders of the Fatherland showed courage and mass heroism, from Yelets and Kozelsk to Vladikavkaz and Polyarny.
