bonumic is a catalog and collection manager for coins and banknotes. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What data is collected
At registration: username, email, password (stored irreversibly hashed — the site never sees or stores the password itself). Optionally: an avatar, a short "about me," location, and a preferred display currency.
While using the site: the contents of your collection and want list (which items, condition, purchase price and date, quantity), personal photos of your items and attached files (e.g., a certificate of authenticity), private and public comments on items, messages with other users, edits and photos you suggest for the catalog, and reports of catalog errors.
Automatically: technical visit data (which pages you opened, device, browser) — but only if you've agreed to analytics in the site's banner, see the "Cookies and analytics" section.
Why
- To make the site work at all: logging into your account, managing your collection, exchanging messages.
- To send emails that you yourself trigger: registration confirmation, password reset.
- To understand which pages and features are actually used, and to improve the site — only with your consent (analytics).
Data is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
Cookies and analytics
Technical cookies (staying logged in, form forgery protection, language settings) are always set — the site can't work correctly without them, so separate consent isn't requested for them (this is standard practice — they don't require consent under the same rules as analytics).
Yandex.Metrica (including Webvisor — recording of on-page actions: clicks, mouse movement, scrolling) only starts after you click "Accept" in the banner at the bottom of the page. Declining doesn't restrict anything about how the site works. The text of private messages and private comments on collection items is technically excluded from session recording — Webvisor never sees them, regardless of your choice in the banner.
You can change your decision at any time: open cookie settings.
Who data is shared with
- Yandex Cloud Postbox (email delivery service) — receives your email address when sending confirmation/password-reset emails.
- Yandex (Metrica/Webvisor) — only with your consent, anonymized and behavioral visit data.
Currency exchange rates in collection stats are fetched from cbr-xml-daily.ru — nothing about you personally is sent there; it's a one-way public rate lookup.
Retention period
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. Self-service account deletion isn't built yet — to delete your account and the data tied to it, contact us using the details below.
Your rights
You can view and edit your data in your account at any time, or request an export or full deletion — contact us using the details below.
