Terms of Use

Last updated: September 14, 2026

bonumic is a catalog of coins and banknotes with tools for collectors: a personal collection and want list, item exchange between users, and participation in building the catalog (suggested edits and photos). By registering and using the site, you agree to the terms below.

Who runs the site

bonumic is run and administered by a private individual — not a company or a registered business. Contact details are in the "Contact" section below and in the Privacy Policy, which also describes what data is collected and why.

Registration and your account

  • You may register and use the site if you have sufficient legal capacity under the laws of your country to be bound by these terms; the site isn't intended for children without a parent's or guardian's involvement.
  • One account per person. Your login and password are your responsibility — don't share them with anyone, and let us know if you suspect someone else is using your account.
  • The details you provide at registration (email, etc.) must be genuine — your email is needed at minimum for password resets and important notices about your account.

What you may not do on the site

  • Post illegal content, or content you don't hold the rights to (see the section on suggested photos below).
  • Impersonate someone else, create multiple accounts to get around restrictions, automate account creation, or bulk-scrape the catalog.
  • Harass, abuse, or spam other users in private messages.
  • Try to disrupt the site: overload the server with requests, bypass technical safeguards (such as anti-spam protections on forms), or probe for and exploit vulnerabilities without first coordinating with the site owner.

Violations may result in a warning, removal of the specific content, or — for serious or repeated violations — account suspension, at the site owner's discretion.

Your content on the site

Your collection, want list, personal item photos, comments, and messages remain yours — the site doesn't use them for anything beyond showing them to you and, if you've made your collection public, to other users within the limits of what you chose to show.

Separately — edits and photos you suggest for the catalog itself (the "Suggest an edit"/"Share a photo" form): by submitting a photo through this form, you confirm that you're entitled to authorize its publication (the same rights-confirmation checkbox you see in the form itself), and you grant bonumic the right to display that photo in the catalog under the terms you specified when submitting it (source, license, attribution). A moderator reviews every submission and may reject it — inclusion in the catalog isn't automatic.

Exchanges between collectors

The "available for exchange" feature and the notifications/messages tied to it are just a tool that helps collectors find each other through matches between collections and want lists. bonumic doesn't take part in the transaction itself: it doesn't process payment, doesn't arrange shipping, doesn't verify the authenticity or condition of items, and doesn't vouch for the good faith of participants.

Any agreement on the terms of an exchange, payment (if any), and delivery is strictly between the users involved, at their own risk. If something goes wrong in a conversation with another user, you can report it through the "Blocked users" section or a message report, but resolving the dispute itself isn't something the site does.

The catalog and its data

Catalog information (denominations, years, metal, mintage, the estimated value by metal weight, and so on) is compiled from public sources and user submissions and is provided "as is," for reference. It isn't investment or appraisal advice — the estimated value by metal weight, where shown, is explicitly not the item's market (numismatic) value, and the catalog information itself may contain inaccuracies. For decisions involving real money, check independent sources.

Site intellectual property

The bonumic code, design, and catalog structure belong to the site owner. Publicly known facts (currency history, denominations, issue years) aren't owned by anyone as such — what's protected is the particular way they're compiled and presented on the site, not the facts themselves.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is," with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. This is a non-commercial project run by one person — the site's availability isn't guaranteed, so don't assume your data (including your collection) is 100% safe from loss: if it matters to you, keep a copy elsewhere too.

To the extent permitted by law, the site owner isn't liable for disputes between users (including those related to item exchanges), for losses arising from use of or inability to use the site, or for the accuracy of the catalog data.

Ending access

You may stop using the site at any time. Self-service account deletion isn't built yet — to delete your account and the data tied to it, contact us using the details below (the same process as in the Privacy Policy). The site owner may restrict or terminate access for an account that violates these terms.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated — the date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Significant changes will be announced on the site when needed. By continuing to use the site after the terms are updated, you agree to the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation.
