Special facts
In December 1941 Feodosia was the landing site of the Kerch–Feodosia amphibious operation, one of the largest landing operations of the war. The city grew from an ancient Greek colony of the 6th century BC, and in the 19th century Ivan Aivazovsky lived and painted the sea here. The 10-rouble coin "Feodosia" was issued in 2016 in the "Cities of Military Glory" series.
