Special facts
The Oriental stork is a rare large bird of the Amur region and Primorye, a black-billed relative of the white stork. Unlike the white stork, it nests not near people but in tall trees far from settlements, and its nests serve it for many years. The 50-rouble coin "Oriental Stork" was issued in 1993 in the "Red Book" series.
