Special facts

The Khabarovsk Territory is one of the largest regions of Russia, stretching along the Sea of Okhotsk and the Amur. Its centre is Khabarovsk; Amur tigers and brown bears live in its taiga. Khabarovsk was founded in 1858 as a military post, and Komsomolsk-on-Amur was begun in 1932. The 10-rouble coin "Khabarovsk Territory" was issued in 2023 in the "Russian Federation" series.

About the period

Modern Russia is the money after the redenomination of 1998, when a thousand old roubles became one new rouble. The coins and banknotes of the 1997 pattern are still in circulation. More about the period “Modern Russia”, 1997 — to present
