Issue history
The orange variant of the 100-rouble note was printed at the Penza Goznak factory. In circulation from August 1921.
Watermark, sheet and specimens
The paper carries a watermark of the numeral '100' repeated across the sheet. Two specimen types are known: one perforated «ОБРАЗЕЦ» separately on the obverse and reverse, and one with a two-sided red/blue «ОБРАЗЕЦ» overprint mirrored on the reverse.
Appearance
The orange variant of the same 100-rouble note: the design is as on the yellow one — the figure "100" at left, the RSFSR arms at right, the inscriptions about the settlement note and its backing in the centre, all in a frame with rounded corners. The almost blank back has only an orange background pattern. Size: 86 × 49 mm.
About the period
The settlement notes of 1920–1921 were the last money of the RSFSR before the redenomination of 1922. In two years the denominations grew from 3 to 100,000 roubles. More about the period “Settlement notes”, 1920 — 1921
