Issue history

The 1-chervonets note of the 1926 pattern was printed by the multicolour Orlov method. The obverse was designed by Ivan Dubasov, the reverse by Vladimir Kupriyanov. The note is dated 1926 but was printed with that date until 1934.

Signatures

Appearance

The front is printed in blue-black on a multicolour, mainly yellow ground. At upper left is the USSR arms in a cartouche, at centre and right the value in guilloché cartouches, at the edges the date and the name of the currency unit, and in the centre the text and signatures. The number is printed twice: red on the left, blue-black on the right. On the back, printed in blue-green and blue-black, the value in the centre is surrounded by repeated value lettering. There is no watermark; size 155 × 84 mm.
