Treasury notes of the People's Commissariat of Finance of the USSR
Appearance
The USSR coat of arms at the top of the obverse, with a plain white field below containing the watermark. The reverse is likewise split into a plain white section and a larger coloured field at the top, with the value in five languages — Georgian, Armenian, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Turkic-Tatar. Size: 155 × 80 mm.
A note on circulation
This note is unique in its series in that it was not actually used domestically inside the USSR -- it instead paid for Soviet imports from the United States. A separate overprinted version, "Имеет хождение только в Т.Н.Р." ("valid only in the Tuvan People's Republic"), circulated in Tuva.
