Appearance
Both sides are printed in dark green on a multicoloured ground: green and pink on the front, green, pink and blue on the back. The front has a guilloché pattern with the value «5000» and the word «РУБЛЕЙ», a large RSFSR coat of arms in the background, and at left a coupon field where the watermark shows against the light. The serial number is printed twice; there are the year «1923» and the signatures of the People's Commissar of Finance and a cashier. The back has an ornamental frame with the value in the corners and the text set in eight lines. Size 195 × 105 mm.
About the period
The state currency notes of 1923 were the second and last sovznak issue. One rouble of 1923 equalled 100 roubles of the 1922 pattern. More about the period “State currency notes”, 1923
