A 1992 3-rouble coin for the 750th anniversary of the Battle on the Ice: on 5 April 1242 Alexander Nevsky's army defeated the knights of the Livonian Order on Lake Peipus. The victory was celebrated in Sergei Eisenstein’s 1938 film “Alexander Nevsky” with music by Sergei Prokofiev, and historians are still searching for the exact site of the battle on the lake.
