Special facts
A 25-rouble coin for the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State, signed by Russia and Belarus on 8 December 1999. The treaty came into force on 26 January 2000; the Supreme State Council became the Union State’s highest body, and citizens of the two countries gained equal rights to work and study.
