In the 1840s a hundred assignat rubles equalled 28 rubles 57 kopeks in silver.
Appearance
One-hundred-rouble assignat of the 1818–1819 pattern with a dark green front. A "Masonic" arms stands in each of the four corners, with ovals reading "1819" at left and "ГОДА" at right between them; at the top an oval with the figure 100 in a wreath, with a sceptre and a ribbon below, and plant ornaments. The back is a dark oval with the figure 100. Dated every year up to 1843.
About the period
The assignats of the 1818–1819 pattern were the first Russian paper money printed at the Expedition for the Preparation of State Papers. The printing became much better, and the notes harder to forge. More about the period “Assignats”, 1818 — 1843
