Special facts

Ivan Bilibin’s crownless eagle on the back was taken up more than seventy years later by the Bank of Russia: it appeared on Russian coins from 1992 to 2015.

Blocks and cashiers

Of the 200 planned blocks (АА-001…АА-200) of the 1-rouble Pyatakov note, 85 were issued — АА-001…АА-085, a million notes each, 85 million in all. The last digit of the block points to the cashier: blocks ending in 0 were signed by M. Osipov, in 1 by A. Alekseyev, in 9 by D. Titov.
