At the redenomination of 1922 five thousand rubles in Pyatakov notes were worth fifty kopeks in new money.

Blocks and cashiers

On the 5,000-rouble note the cashier is identified by the series letters rather than the block number. The series of different cashiers overlap, so the varieties are described by lists of series, and one cashier appears in several of them. Each series was printed in 200,000 notes. The watermark is horizontal (Pick 96a) or vertical — on series БГ, БД, БЕ, БЗ and БИ (Pick 96b).

About the period

The "Pyatakov notes" are the credit notes of 1918 prepared by the Provisional Government. What makes them Soviet is only the facsimile signature of G. Pyatakov, Chief Commissioner of the People's Bank. More about the period “Pyatakov notes”, 1918
