Special facts

Mikhail Koshkin (1898–1940) created the T-34 medium tank, adopted in December 1939, the most mass-produced tank of the war. In spring 1940 he drove the prototypes under their own power from Kharkov to Moscow to show them to the country’s leaders, caught a chill on the way and died soon after. The 25-rouble coin "Designer Mikhail Koshkin" was issued in 2019 in the "Weapons of the Great Victory (Weapons Designers)" series.
