Appearance and specimens
The 25-rouble note is in purple-red: dark print on a purple-red underprint and a back of the same colour patterned all over. At the top is the RSFSR emblem, below it the value, at the bottom the legal text. Specimens with a red overprint are known — single and as a pair of obverse and reverse.
About the period
The small-format state currency notes of 1922 are the size of a large postage stamp, about 36 × 66 mm. In effect they served as kopecks. More about the period “State currency notes, stamp type”, 1922
