Appearance
Fifteen-rouble credit note prepared in 1856 on the 1843 pattern but never put into circulation. The only known form is a trial from the Goznak museum: the state arms stand in the middle of the front, with the title "ГОСУДАРСТВЕННЫЙ КРЕДИТНЫЙ БИЛЕТЪ" and a hand-written promise to pay fifteen roubles in silver or gold coin; the signatures were to be printed below. The back carries an extract from the manifesto and the arms. Size 170 × 110 mm.
About the period
The State Credit Notes of the 1843 pattern completed Kankrin's reform: they replaced both the assignats and the deposit notes. More about the period “State credit notes”, 1843 — 1865
