A poltina of 1734–1737 with a new portrait. The main mark of the varieties is the pendant on the empress’s chest: present or absent, and in 1736 with one or three pearls.
About the period
The coins of Anna Ioannovna belong to the time when silver was made purer: from 1730 the rouble was struck in .802 fineness instead of .728. It became lighter — 25.85 grams instead of 28.44 — but kept the same amount of pure silver. More about the period “Anna I”, 1730 — 1740
