Appearance
20-rouble note of the Belarusian rouble (BYR), dated 2000. The front shows the building of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk; the back a fragment of the interior of the National Bank building. Size 150 × 74 mm. Put into circulation on 1 January 2001, withdrawn from circulation on 1 March 2013.
About the period
The 2000 banknotes appeared after the redenomination of 1 January 2000, when a thousand old roubles became one new rouble (code BYR). All of them are dated 2000, although large denominations kept being added for another twelve years. More about the period “Issue of 2000”, 2000 — 2016
