About the period

The last issue of Dominion notes before the Bank of Canada was founded shows the royal family: George V on the 1 dollar of 1923, the Prince of Wales, the future Edward VIII, on the 2 dollars, Queen Mary on the 5 dollars of 1924, George V on the 500 and Queen Mary on the 1,000 dollars of 1925. The last 25-cent note, of 1923 with Britannia, belongs here too. They were printed by the Canadian Bank Note Company. More about the period “Issue of 1923-1925”
