USSR — Issue of 1991-1992

The last Soviet banknotes. In January 1991 the "Pavlov" reform withdrew the 50 and 100-rouble notes of the 1961 pattern and issued new ones dated 1991, followed by notes from 1 to 1,000 roubles of the 1991 pattern.

The 50, 200, 500 and 1,000-rouble notes dated 1992 were printed after the collapse of the USSR but still bore the title "State Bank Note of the USSR". Banknotes of Soviet patterns were withdrawn from circulation in Russia on 26 July 1993.
