Tajikistan — Republic of Tajikistan (Tajikistani Rouble) (1994)
The Tajik rouble banknotes of the 1994 pattern (from 1 to 1,000 roubles) entered circulation in 1995, replacing the Russian roubles that had been used in the country until then. They were printed by Goznak in Moscow, all values carry a watermark, and each has a matching specimen row. There is no security thread on these notes. The somoni replaced the Tajik rouble, and the notes were withdrawn from circulation on 29 October 2000.
«Republic of Tajikistan (Tajikistani Rouble)» is a banknote-only period: there are no coins in it.
