Russian Federation — Issue of 1992

The first Bank of Russia notes are the 5,000 and 10,000 roubles of 1992. They appeared at the height of inflation, while USSR State Bank notes were still in circulation, and were the first to carry the title "Bank of Russia Note".

Both notes show Moscow: the 5,000 roubles has Kremlin towers, the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge and the high-rise on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment; the 10,000 roubles has the Senate Tower with the Russian flag over the Senate building, and Kremlin towers on the back. The notes were printed by Goznak.

There are no commemorative items in the period «Issue of 1992».
