Red flag with the letters RSFSR
1918–1925 Red flag with the letters RSFSR Under the 1918 Constitution the flag of the republic became a red flag with the gold letters R.S.F.S.R. in the upper corner next to the staff.

Coats of arms

Eagle of the Provisional Government
1917–1918 Eagle of the Provisional Government After the February Revolution the Provisional Government kept the double-headed eagle but without crowns, sceptre or orb. This eagle, drawn by Ivan Bilibin, appears on the "kerenki" and "dumki" notes.
Emblem of the RSFSR
1918–1954 Emblem of the RSFSR A gold hammer and sickle on a red field in the rays of the rising sun, framed by ears of wheat, with the letters R.S.F.S.R. and the motto "Workers of the world, unite!". The drawing was slightly altered in 1920. This emblem appears on the currency notes of 1919–1921.
